The Vehicle Laboratory and the associated service areas were established in connection with the creation of an industrial innovation development zone and the automotive and research-and-development investments carried out in that area.
The construction of this building has created a modern, comfortable, and well-equipped facility capable of meeting the diverse practical training needs of both theoretical and various technical engineering programs, with a usable floor area of nearly 2,700 m².
The two-story building houses vehicle laboratories, labs dedicated to mechatronics and robotics training, automotive repair workshops, and classrooms suitable for smaller-sized courses; an outdoor 1,340 m² asphalt test track has also been constructed.
The building houses four 30-seat classrooms, as well as three labs, control rooms, a student repair shop, a pit repair shop (with direct access from inside the building), a gantry lift repair shop, a workshop manager’s office, a cargo lift, restrooms, and a changing room block to support instruction.
The mechatronics labs, the EMC test chamber, the Robotics Lab, and the Industry 5.0 lab are located on the ground floor.
