Welcome to the website of the Department of Vehicles Engineering at the University of Debrecen!
Today, the transportation and automotive industries are undergoing one of the greatest transformations in their history. Electromobility, autonomous systems, digitalization, and sustainable technologies are creating new challenges and new opportunities for engineers.
Our department’s goal is for our students not only to keep pace with these changes but to become active shapers of the future of mobility. In our educational program, building on a solid technical foundation, we place great emphasis on gaining practical experience, laboratory work, project-based learning, and industry collaborations.
We are in a particularly advantageous position, as Debrecen and its surrounding region have become one of the key hubs of the Hungarian automotive and battery industries in recent years. Our students can gain knowledge and experience in an industrial environment that offers them numerous professional and career opportunities even while they are still studying.
Our department’s community believes that a successful engineer possesses not only technical knowledge but also creativity, problem-solving skills, and an open mind. We strive to instill this mindset in our students every day.
